A Sack Full of Feathers

A Sack Full of Feathers is a Jewish folktale retold by Debby Waldman.  Yankel is a young mischevious boy who tells his friends other people’s stories.  The rumours spread and the local rabbi finds out.  He sends Yankel to put a feather on all his neighbour’s doorsteps.  We learn about rumours and lessons in this weel-told tale.  Learn more about the story and its author and illustrator.
